Off the grid adventures, a broken down van, subzero temperatures, and few shots of whiskey caused the co-founders of Rumpl to rethink the standard blanket. After rescue and returning to San Francisco, they borrowed a sewing machine and created the first Rumpl ‘puffy’ blankets. Rumpl has grown from a single homemade ‘sleeping bag blanket’ to a whole line of blankets and technical comfort products that redefine the category. The small passionate company is now based in Portland, OR where they are creating, testing, and improving their unique products.
Rumpl’s new 100% post-consumer 30D ripstop polyester with DWR offers increased durability, repelling dirt, odours, splashes, and spills.
The Rumpl Nanoloft™ Blanket reclaims at least 60 discarded plastic bottles to create the fill and polyester ripstop shell, virtually eliminating virgin plastic from our supply chain.
Rumpl’s state-of-the-art NanoLoft® insulation is made from 100% post-consumer recycled material. It mimics the drape and packability of natural down by using tiny synthetic clusters to trap warmth for efficient, even heating. This is Rumpl’s most premium synthetic fill type and is used in the NanoLoft® Puffy Blanket.
Rumpl’s core values include “Look To The Future Responsibly." In 2019, Rumpl redesigned the core line of blankets to use only 100% post-consumer recycled materials. They are proud to be a member of 1% For The Planet, which means Rumpl donates 1% of all revenue to environmental non-profits. Rumple is also certified Climate Neutral, which means that starting in 2020, Rumpl is offsetting 100% of the company’s carbon footprint by purchasing offset credits.
